Paro x Droosh Red Lentil Daal
SERVINGS: 2-3 | PREP TIME: 2 MIN | COOK TIME: 20-25 MIN
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Box Paro Masoor Daal
- 1-2 tsp Droosh Everyday Spice
- 1/2 cup whisked yogurt
- 1/2 tsp Droosh Chaat Party Spice
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
- Cilantro, for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
- Pour Paro Packet and 3 cups of water in a medium-sized pan and bring to a boil, uncovered
- Once boiled, reduce heat to simmer and add 1-2 tsp of Droosh Everyday Spice
- Cook for 20-25 minutes until lentils are tender, uncovered and stirring occasionally
- While lentils are cooking, add 1/2 cup plain yogurt to a bowl and whisk so it becomes thin; then add 1/2 tsp Droosh Chaat Party and 1 tsp lemon juice (if you want this sauce topping to be more of a liquid-y texture add some of the water from the yogurt to the bowl)
- Once lentils are cooked you can add more water for a soup-y texture or leave as is
- Taste test and add more salt, pepper or Everyday spice if you want it spicier or need more flavor
- Stir and serve in bowls with rice, roti or naan
- Top with spiced yogurt, fresh cilantro and lemon juice
- Enjoy this comforting, nutritious and delicious meal at any time of the day
